At Home Dumbbell Workout and cats



Cats have 32 muscles in each ear, to help them ignore you.

Me- "Cookie, move."
Cookie - " purrr, purr, roll, purr"
Me - "Seriously, I'm going to step on you."
Cookie - " Yawn..." rolls over onto her side facing away from me.



Working out from home can sometimes be a challenge but It's not totally impossible.
If you have two weights then you can do this workout.

Anything will do, even 2 bags of sugar. ( Why do you have 2 bags of sugar? That's an awful lot of sugar BTW). I digress... the instructions are below in the video. Simply watch the video, shoo the cat aside and get to it.

SO what's been going on at Cherry Bomb?

First, we are doing some amazing things with adaptive athletes and the active aging. We are offering semi-private training specifically to those looking to stay active for a long long time. We call these semi-private sessions THE MASTER CLASS.

Let me ask you this. What type of aging do you want to do?

Personally, I don’t really have a desire to be a master athlete, but I definitely want to be in the “Successful Aging” or “Active Aging” category.

The overall goal of the Master Class (55+)

It recognizes the importance of each of the seven dimensions of wellness – physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, environmental, vocational, social – to the overall well-being of an aging individual.”

The focus of the program is how to effectively and safely implement exercises, mobility, balance, strength and cognitive strategies in a small group setting with students who are functionally diverse.

We also have implemented some pretty fun HIIT sessions (REV). Our goal for these sessions is get that "cardio" in during the winter. Along with our other strength and conditioning sessions these REV sessions are a great way to stay race ready or to just keep moving through the dark cold months in Canada.


Needless to say, we are still a bunch of regular folks doing amazing things! We all still have jobs and family and priorities that can sometimes get in the way of our own health but we do the best we ca. After all, we're just trying to be the best versions of ourselves.


We aren't interested the biggest muscles, skinniest people, fastest times or competition. I did that stuff in my 30's. I was always hurting and totally felt like I was not part of the cool kids club because I wasn't willing to push myself to the point of ripped hands and vomitting. NO THANK YOU!

We at Cherry Bomb are interested in making you awesome...your version of awesome for a very long time, regardless of your age or capabilities. Which means that the training has to be structured for all capabilities, not just the young and athletic. We understand that everyone has to start somewhere and not everyone wants to be ripped, or swole or an athlete... sometimes we just want to feel better in our own skin and be capable of living a life that is pain free and full of energy.


We want everyone to do the best you can with what you've got and keep moving forward. The next 30,40, 100 days will pass regardless of what you do. So why not work toward a stronger, happier, healthier you.


I have a few Workouts you can do on your own if you're interested. This one here is fairly intense!


All you need is 2 dumbbells.
