Inside Cherry Bomb- Bingo Blitz. Yup, THIS happened

I really am not sure how to explain what we do here... fitness yes.  Gym stuff...sure, yes.

Coaching?  Absolutely!

Encouraging bad behaviour?  Lords yes!!!

Empowering people to get strong inside and out,  have one heck of a good life and be unapologetically them?  BINGO!!!  Hit the nail on the head.

For an entire month the whole gym was involved in a bit of a fitness game.  BOX BINGO or BINGO BLITZ.  They had the month to fill in as many fitness squares as they could and those two ladies on the image gave it their all, filling in 2 cards.

Problem was, they tied.

So how oh how could we break that tie.  EASY!  The challengers were going to go head to head.

4 mini challenges one of which was a walk off!  Zoolander style.  Check it out!

Now, you may think this is silly.

This isn't fitness-y or gym-y.

Well maybe it is and maybe it isn't but I can say that 100% of our clients show up for the work and they do it with a smile.

I do what I do at Cherry Bomb Garage Gym and you do what you do at yours.  No sweat off my brow as long as it's helping others.  I'll take the stone throws and the opinions gladly.

I have learned that you pay a price for being yourself.

People can label you easier.

"The fitness folk"  "the weirdos" "the vegetarian" "the fun guy" "the lady with way too many birds - me".  Just because you feel so strongly about something, people will find it easier to place generalizations on you. The one time you voice an opinion has the potential to turn into your identity.

People will make assumptions about you.

"She's that fitness chick so she mustn't ever eat an entire bag of chips" Nope.  I sure do.  "She runs a gym so she's works out all day long" Nope.  I work all day long and try to squeeze in family and fitness.  "She must count calories"  Nope.  Hate it.  So yes, others will make assumptions about you too.  So, that one time opinion that has now become your identity is unfair.

I have opinions yes. I am passionate. However, I have a very open mind. I listen to opinions and input. In fact, I ask for advice more than anyone else I know. Now, whether I alter my beliefs based on your opinion, input, or advice is another story. Some people just know exactly who they are or who they want to be. They shouldn’t be punished for that. Don’t confuse someone having confidence in themselves with stubbornness.

People will not like your confidence.

Some people are intimidated by confidence, it’s human nature. Be confident anyway.

If you are a person who is unapologetically yourself, I salute you.

Now, listen up because I have good news and bad news.

The bad news: It’s not easy to be you. You will have altercations with people, face resistance, feel disillusioned, lose friends, gain enemies, and notice that people will try (and sometimes succeed at) bringing you down.

The good news: We are a minority. Most people in this world will not stand up in a room of 100 people who all believe in the same thing and dare to say, “I disagree.” And that, my friends, is a powerful thing. Do not let the world smother the fire under your passions, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem.

Being unapologetically yourself comes with a price. Always pay it.

BE AWESOME!!!
