The Fitness Plan you'll Finally stick to (It might not be the answer you're looking for)

If you're hoping for a quick fix then avert your eyes. 

Quick fixes are just that, quick - the results don't last.

Any program. ANY!  Will get you results in the short term.  Join any gym, bootcamp, class, what have you, and watch the members change within the first few weeks and then stall.  Then watch the real magic unfold as they ... ooh, ahh... disappear.  This happens for lots of reasons - too hard, too expensive, too time consuming, which all just translates into NOT ENJOYABLE and therefore; not a priority.

The "permanent" weight loss requires your commitment and that shouldn't mean gritting your teeth and just doing it.  It should mean wanting to do it because it's something you enjoy and will stick with.  It should build you up as a human both physically, mentally and emotionally.

If you find yourself dreading the thought of another workout then it's time to find something else.

My thing, was CrossFit. Yours may be cheese rolling?  I don't know!  It's your thing not mine...Weirdo.

This doesn't mean not putting in the work!  You still have to DO IT.

Yes, CrossFit is hard but it is so very rewarding as well.  I teach what I like.  No, love! Find your thing, like Ferret-legging.  Weirdo;)

Whatever fitness activity you're into — running, hiking, cycling, yoga, CrossFit, ferret-legging — there's a club or community (like Cherry Bomb) with like-minded individuals who can help support and motivate you to stick with your goals. And it's fun to find friends to connect and work out with in your own town or in my case village!

Find your tribe of like minded freaks and weirdos, who elevate you no matter what your size or fitness level.  You shouldn't feel intimidated or ignored or ripped off.  You pay to play so get your money's worth and don't just go through the motions.

It's what I look forward to doing most days... CrossFit not ferret-legging, though I used to do this to Geiger all the time when he was sleeping. I'd put Pandora, my ferret, up his pant leg and run out of the room giggling.  Ah...the memories. (No ferrets or husbands were hurt)

Still not motivated then perhaps it's time to tag a friend. 

Having someone who shares your desire to live a healthy, fit life can do wonders for your workout routine. You know...They're the friend you text to join you on a jog around the neighborhood, or run through the trails, or to hit up the free drop in on that local garage gym with you. (see what I did there) And when you've made plans to meet up to work out, you're less likely to bail on them because you'll feel guilty — which will push you to actually get up and go!  Now, go be that badass you know you can be.  BE AWESOME!

You may not be able to get into our itty bitty garage gym or ANY gym for that matter, but you sure as hell can do something at home.

  1. This one was really great. It was short enough to fit in almost anytime of day and the moves were simple enough though I had to modify the jerk...I kept forgetting the second dip.
    I'd like to see the workout BAZ. I'll go alphabetically on this.
