What are your goals? (Self discipline requires a plan)
What Are You Aiming at?
“If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time.” Zig Ziglar
You know this to be true from your very own experiences. Think back to every good intention you ever had when it came to health and how many of those things became a reality?
Don't beat yourself up. Those ‘good intentions’ are admirable and we all find ourselves making them but they were just too broad or too vague. To focus, is to make something clear and if you haven't done that - clarified what you actually want, it's nearly impossible to hit those goals because in essence they are moving targets. Example weight loss...well what is that exactly? A diet, exercise, joining a gym? Which diet then? What type of gym or class or exercise regime?
So I ask you? Do you have moving targets in your life?
Let's say for the sake of argument, being it is January and most folks are on a health kick, it's weight loss, you're seeking. That's a pretty broad goal, and if your methods remain undefined, it will make it impossible to focus in on what needs doing to actually make "it", whatever your "it" may be, happen.
Let's steady the target so you can hit the bull’s eye.
Define your goals and write them down:

So first, steady the target and get CLEAR on exactly what you want. The REAL TRUTH, not just I want ABS. Look deeper into your want. Is it being accepted by others, feeling better about yourself, not hurting because weightloss just won't do that. You have to be OK first.
Sometimes, the hardest part of reaching a goal is just getting started. We're faced with hundreds of decisions each and every day and willpower is exhaustible. Self-Discipline on the other hand is a CHOICE...and a very empowering one if you choose to view it in that manner. Focus on the wins.
Each time you choose to move forward in the direction of your success, you gain momentum. Choose to no longer play the victim and become accountable.
I Know it can be hard to change lifelong habits so don't go it alone. Find a weekly exercise group or enlist a friend to keep you accountable.
Set deadlines, make commitments or enter a challenge. Any one of these things can help provide an external motivator that will carry you through even the toughest temptations. And who knows, you might even have fun.

Let's steady the target so you can hit the bull’s eye.
Define your goals and write them down:
- How much weight do you want to lose?
- What kind of changes do you want to make in your diet?
- How many days per week do you want to exercise?
- What kind of training will it be. Whole body HIIT, CrossFit?
- Which article of clothing do you wish would fit your body again?
- Who will help you?
- Pick a day to get started and follow through!
