5 Crossfit workouts to get you started (some harsh motivational words)

I'll wager you've probably seen these images on the net before.

I'll also wager you have probably thought about doing them but were hesitant to try. If that's the case then drop into Cherry Bomb Garage Gym or your local box and I guarantee we can help you out.
But if you want to try Crossfit and you're still hesitant because you don't think you're quite ready to step out of your comfort zone, I see this time and again in the gym.

Folks can see the value in something like eating better, exercising, etc, and just keep putting it off. Often it's because they become overwhelmed by the bigger picture, rather than focusing on the present. It takes GRIT and often they/we (myself included) are not willing to dig in our heels and work for what we want.

I have a solution for you.
SELF EFFICACY.  I want you to view your here and now and see that you can rewrite your story to include a newer, stronger version of yourself.  You have to do this because no amount of "Raa Raa!", can motivate you because change is terrifying. Change means rewriting who YOU are and if you have always been the non-athletic/skinny/chunky/clumsy/whatever lie you want to tell yourself/ person in your head then who will you become if you decide to NOT be that fictitious character. It's your choice to succeed or not. No one else's.

“What do you believe you can accomplish today?”, That’s what’s really gonna matter. Trust the process.

Change takes courage and time. Change is stepping into the unknown. By facing the discomfort of change we are able to focus on the empowering choices we are making. As we succeed, our self-esteem becomes stronger and permeates throughout all areas of our life. In short, we'll feel unstoppable. Heck, we are unstoppable.  So get started.

Take these CrossFit WODs (workouts of the day) to your local gym and make them a part of your weekly workout routine. It won't be as awesome as doing it in our group environment, but these WODs will get you sweating and on your way to toning up!

Afterall, if you want to try CrossFit, then try it. Stop making excuses not to.
