GET OUT! (Outdoor exercise is good for the soul)
Sprint, stroll, climb, lift, throw, do something but do it outside.
Now that fall is fast approaching and the kiddies will be back in school , it’s time to get outside, breath in the fresh air and bask in the sun’s rays before it's too late. Not to mention, getting away from it all for a time has a tendency to breath new life into a tired soul. It’ll do wonders to your mood and to your motivation. I swear it will.
Why not try a game of HOOVERBALL like FIT Club did? It was a blast. Hey, exercise can be fun. >
For all I know these studies are garbage and there are other possible reasons for these benefits. Possibly it is the exposure to direct sunlight. Which the lack there of, I'm certain, is part of the reason I went crazy this March (Read more on that here and meet my HAPPY DRUG ) but there’s something about basking in the warm sun to make you feel great. And let’s not forget that exercise is an excellent anti-depressant.![]() |

The fact of the matter is, most of us now live in urban environments, so it's crucial to re-connect with nature once in a while. I'm not concerned as to the how - Go for a walk, join a fitness club, take a hike - just get out!
As the weather gets cooler, be sure to grab a friend or MP3 Player and exercise outdoors before winter hits! There’s nothing better than feeling the sun and wind on your face, listening to some tunes and letting your worries wash away. Afterall, you’re more likely to stick to your activity outside - or so the study suggests. Get outside and play, exercise because it's fun and maybe even get muddy. It's OK, science and Geiger says so! >
