CHANGE TAKES TIME (commit)

It’s hard to not want to throw in the towel when you aren't seeing immediate changes … but if you stick with your plan LONG ENOUGH, you’ll see changes. You just have to stick with it.
In this A.D.D. age we tend not to put much time and effort into things before tossing them aside as a failure. This is where one's TRUE GRIT comes in and the truth behind our intentions. Because there is a difference between wanting something and wishing for it to happen to you. Persist because this is where YOUR STORY BEGINS, within that failure and what you choose to do with it.
SELF EFFICACY: The belief one holds regarding his or her power to affect situations, it strongly influences both the power a person actually has to face challenges competently and the choices a person is most likely to make.
We are often our own worst enemies.
We can see the value in something like eating better, exercising, etc, and we just keep putting it off. Or we perhaps set such lofty goals for ourselves and become overwhelmed by the bigger picture, rather than focusing on the present. The strength, the accomplishments, the little wins are all ignored because that ONE thing, that ONE ABSTRACT GOAL is not reached immediately. Years of neglect and poor decisions are expected to be erased in a few months. It takes GRIT and often we are not willing to dig in our heels and work for what we want.In this A.D.D. age we tend not to put much time and effort into things before tossing them aside as a failure. I see this time and again in the gym.
Ones GRIT will determine if they're coming back to one of our workouts. Many have come but just didn't have the SELF EFFICACY to view their here and now and see that they could rewrite their story to include a newer, stronger version of themselves. I've seen the self implemented defeat and I know when their not ready to change. No amount of "Raa Raa!", can motivate them because change is terrifying. Change means rewriting who YOU are and if you have always been the nonathletic/skinny/chunky/clumsy/whatever lie you want to tell yourself/ person in your head then who will you become if you decide to NOT be that fictitious character. It's your choice to succeed or not. No one else's.
“What do you believe you can accomplish today?”, That’s what’s really gonna matter. Trust the process.
We need to get our minds right. Our heart, soul, and ego need to be on board. Change takes courage and time. Change is stepping into the unknown. By facing the discomfort of change we are able to focus on the empowering choices we are making. As we succeed, our self-esteem becomes stronger and permeates throughout all areas of our life. In short, we'll feel unstoppable. Heck, we are unstoppable.
Sure, I've been guilty of throwing in the towel before I have even given a plan the time to show results. I'd give it a lack luster try for a week or two and boom – no results? F - it! Maybe it's a form of self sabotage or an ill perceived "easier way out" than to actually try but I can tell you that I am done with all that. Changes CAN happen, but we must stick with a plan, ANY plan, long enough to let it show you that it is working! Just don’t give up.
Remember this, people who are usually the envy of all are people who love themselves enough to strive for an overall improvement in their health and vitality. Stop sneering at those people and become one of them. Be the envy or at the very least, think like one. Love ourselves enough to commit.

We need to get honest with ourselves. Don’t blame the program. We are in charge of every bite we put in our mouth, every step we take, and all the weight we lift. The methods are tried, true, and scientifically tested- the 4 pillars of fitness - strength, endurance, flexibility and nutrition. We need to balance them all. (I'll add a fifth pillar, adequate rest). When we take responsibility and achieve our goal, the reward is greater than fitting into any skinny jeans. If you need help, let’s talk.
