RECIPE- APPLE PIE PROTEIN BALLS (Sweet, protein, BALLS!)

Protein packed apple pie flavoured balls. Taste the GAINZ!

The key to success on any sort of diet is not feeling deprived and that means NOT DIETING!

"Diet" simply refers to what you eat. That's all.

We always hear people say they're "going on" diets, but your diet is what you eat day-to-day and is not a temporary plan with which to go on and then immediately off of once some arbitrary goal has been reached.  It shouldn't be gimmicky or themed either - ex. some diets assign points, some eliminate certain foods, some promote shakes or pills and several drastically limit or eliminate entire food groups altogether which can be downright dangerous. They just won't work long term.  Instead focus on healthy, filling and satisfying "real foods" daily and every now and again have a treat.  Like – these apple pie protein balls. The oats, apple, and honey will give you energy, and the almond butter and protein powder will help you stay full for more than two minutes.  Awesome right?!

RELATE  What Do You Eat (simple fat loss- real food 80%-90% of the time)

Whether you need a quick breakfast, a pre-workout meal, or an easy snack, sometimes you just need something that’s sweet, healthy, and satisfying, all in one. These balls really do taste like apple pie which makes them one of my favourite breakfasts, second breakfast, pre-workout, post-workout, snacks or whatever excuse needed to eat one kinda treat. Oh and they’re also easy to make and since you can store them in a freezer, are ready to go whenever you need a quick bite!

Here’s your new go to snack

1 cup oatmeal
1 scoop cinnamon or vanilla protein powder
1 small apple, diced really small
1/4 cup unsweetened almond butter
2 Tbsp honey
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1.5 serving (serving = 1 rounded scoop) Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Natural 100% Whey - Vanilla

What to do:

Chop up your apple super small. Like, really tiny, then mix the apple along with the other ingredients in a medium sized bowl then mix together all of the ingredients and roll them up in the palms of your hands. Now, make sure to stir everything together really well unless you're want to get a mouthful of cinnamon.

If the mixture isn't sticking together, try adding a little more almond butter or honey.

Put the balls onto a lined tray and place in the fridge for 24 hours to firm up or stick them in the freezer, and eat them frozen. Yum ! Keep refrigerated
