KETTLEBELLS (For increased awesomeness in a short amount of time)
A ‘kettlebell’ is a traditional Russian cast iron weight that looks like a cannonball with a handle. The exercises are simple and can be easily incorporated into an exercise program. And why would you want to do that? Because the kettlebell incorporate the entire body and are designed to be time and energy efficient. With all the traffic, errands and random stressors in life who has the time anymore?
If you are like me, you only have 30 minutes a day to exercise...on a good day...maybe. NO, NO, DEFINATELY!
That 30-minute time frame should include your warmup, main set, stretching and cooldown. Sounds impossible doesn't it but I'm telling you it is possible and no longer your excuse. 30 minutes is MORE than enough for you to get fit. I'm not asking a lot. Think of it like this - 30 minutes 4 times in 7 days is two hours a week. That's it!
So how do you get it done? Efficiency is the name of the game and with kettlebells you get a lot of bang for your buck. The most effective uses of kettlebells, as far as I can see, are for fat loss, conditioning, and developing the posterior chain. In other words making you look smoking hot in short time!
Another point about these cannonball looking thingies is they train your posterior and training your posterior chain with kettlebells will not only make you look good, it’ll also help you feel good. With far too much time spent sitting, training the back of the body has become increasingly important. In fact, for anybody looking to stay healthy and look good at the same time, it’s damn near essential.
