I HAVE LOW SELF ESTEEM? (Jimmy Moore is my Valentine!)
Sorry husband but I have a new Valentine this year.
No, I'm not a home wrecker. We're all good in the marital area. Now, don't go spreading rumours.
I'll give you the scoop. Sitting in the living room, this Valentine's Day with my husband, trying desperately to figure out this whole internet marketing thing, I found myself bumbling around on my smart phone, cursing the invent of social media.
Between, disgruntle mumblings and temper tantrums I received a "tweet" it read,
It had a little picture of him and everything. OK, not THIS picture but a profile picture none the less. I looked to my husband in abject horror. His response,"This shit just got real,". Thanks for the words of encouragement.

@dietitiancassie If you look at Sara@MmeMightyMouse's blog, then you'll see she'd be a perfect guest friend for our podcast if she's game.

What was I to do but to "retweet" this "tweet" for all the word to see on Twitter. So I did. I "retweeted" his "tweet" on Twitter and what happened? Ah! The great Jimmy Moore, called me on it. He asked me if this meant,
"I was game,"? Uh oh. Fffu....
(as long as I didn't swear)...udge.
Long story short. I agreed, with much inner turmoil. To what? Possibly nothing. Time will tell. If it all falls through, they will now have some free advertising to my 2 loyal subscribers. So, hold on to your hats lady and gent for this new wave of listeners...pfft!
IF and I say IF this happens. I think I agreed to do Low-Carb Conversations: With Jimmy Moore & Friends. A podcast with Jimmy Moore and Dietitian Cassie. We'll see where that all goes. Not set in stone so again, don't go spreading rumours!
First of all, these are two well know social media experts. He, for crying out loud, is in Wikipedia...you can Wiki him?!
No really Wiki him. This is what you'll get. "Jimmy Moore is an American blogger and author who is best known for his "Livin' La Vida Low-Carb" books and blog. He has appeared on television and radio programs promoting a high-fat, moderate protein,
low carb diet plan. Wikipedia" AHH! Right?!
Second of all, I have 2, Yes, 2 subscribers. *BTW thanks;) * How in the heck does the great JIMMY MOORE, (I only speak of him at this point because he's the one who contacted me, so no disrespect to the just as great Cassie) find little ol' me, and then see something in my blog to make HIM want ME to be on THEIR podcast? Heck, I'm nervous just writing this. My stomach is full of butterflies and I might be shaking. Let me check. Yup, could be the coffee? This may be the second cup of coffee talking but, "Ahhhhhhh....,"!
OK, hold it together Sara. Now's the time to become the expert that I know I am. Practice what I preach. Game face on! OK. Let's do it. Oh gosh this is daunting. Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy.
I immediately let fear get the best of me. I told myself I can't. I defaulted to, "I'm not good enough," "Smart enough," "who's going to listen to me, I'm nobody,"? But then I started thinking, "Why not".? I have something no one else has. Not even the great Jimmy Moore has what I have. I have my uniqueness. My opinions, character, expertise and faults make me different and I suppose interesting. Perhaps these things will resonate with some people and give them a different perspective? If not? And worst comes to worst, everything I do is wrong, they can always choose to never ever air the show. If I'm a nobody? I've got nothing to lose. - silver lining. Kind of a sad perspective but hey. Lemons make lemonade. I'm just as capable as the next person of achieving my dreams, and I need to stop listening to the voice inside that keeps saying "I can't." I certainly can...try. Failure is an option and I can learn from it IF and only IF that happens.
Self-doubt is one of the major obstacles to living the life you truly deserve. Don't let yourself be sabotaged by your own inner voice. These words can crush ambitions, and prevent you from achieving all that you can. We all have those inner voices inside our heads that tell us we are not good enough, not strong enough and incapable of doing the things we dream of. Don't let fear keep you from trying. That goes for everything.

Thank you Jimmy Moore for reminding me that it's lack of confidence, and not, ability that keeps us from achieving what we really want, and that self doubt blinds us to our own potential.
I say this all the time.
"Be you. Be strong. Be awesome!"
Guess now is the time to follow through. Even when it's terrifying.
